A Guide to Sentosa Sensoryscape, Singapore’s Newest Immersive Attraction
If you ever want to feel like you’re part of a living, breathing art installation, I recommend visiting Sentosa Sensoryscape. It’s a place where nature, light, sound, scent, and even taste come together in one heady experience.
It features immersive sensory gardens and a digital light show that’s a mesmerising wonderland of augmented reality and projection mapping. Intrigued yet? Let’s take a closer look at what else it has in store for your senses!

It draws its architectural inspiration from nature and biophilic designs and uses natural materials, intricate floral motifs, and dynamic lighting for the five human senses.

What to See
For optimal enjoyment, start at Imbiah Station and walk southward through Sentosa Sensoryscape. The 350-metre walkway is gently sloped and barrier-free, so it’s easy to explore.
Experience the six alliterative sensory gardens in sequence: Lookout Loop, Tactile Trellis, Scented Sphere, Symphony Streams, Palate Playground, and Glow Garden.
Lookout Loop

I like standing at the edge of Lookout Loop surrounded by soft mist rising from the ground like a dream and pretending I’m a wizard. The space, one of the first stops of Sensoryscape, feels almost otherworldly, cool, refreshing, and alive with movement.
The panoramic views stretch over the island with lush greenery framing the skyline. For me, it’s the best spot to pause and take all the magic in.
Pro tip: Visit just before sunset to take the best of both worlds, with daylight views at Lookout Loop and when the ImagiNite light show starts.
Tactile Trellis

It’s fun to run your hands over a mix of textured plants at Tactile Trellis—some velvety and others rough and spiky—for different sensations. There’s intricate latticework in this zone to guide visitors through a tunnel of greenery inviting to be touched.
Walk a little further and you’ll find surfaces that react to movement, which adds a fun interactive element to the experience.
Pro tip: Handle the plants gently and don’t pick them; they’re part of the experience, not souvenirs.
Scented Sphere

At the Scented Sphere, expect the air to be thick with the rich aroma of blooming jasmine, lavender, and orchids. The curved structures are designed to amplify the scents as you move through the zone.
For me, some of the scents were familiar while others were more exotic and unexpected. I caught whiffs of earthy and citrusy bouquets and even hints of spice that made it an intriguing olfactory journey.
Pro tip: If you’re sensitive to strong scents, visit earlier in the day when the air is cooler and the fragrances milder.
Symphony Streams

Each fountain at Symphony Streams seems to play its own note. Standing close, you could hear layers of tones with the soft ripples, cascading streams, and the occasional deep resonance of falling water.
The zone’s design features over 200 musical water pails that produce calming sounds as water flows from one to another. Rather than familiar melodies, expect a natural soundscape that soothes the soul.
Pro tip: Keep your voice low and avoid splashing to sustain the immersive and peaceful soundscape.
Palate Playground

At Palate Playground, I’m reminded that taste starts long before the first bite. The air in this zone carries hints of basil, mint, and citrus, making the experience feel like stepping into a living spice rack.
Visitors are encouraged to explore the garden for culinary inspiration and to enjoy moments of rest on recycled log seats, but actual tasting and consumption of the plants are not permitted.
Pro tip: Get to know more about the different edible plants by reading the informative signage assigned to each one.
Glow Garden

The darkness comes alive at Glow Garden with illuminated structures that pulse and shift colour as you move through the zone. I love how the arches glow and the soft ambient lights contrast with vibrant neon hues, making me feel as if I’m in a rave.
Pro tip: If you’re sensitive to pulsing lights, visit during early evening when the glow is softer and less intense.
Interact with digital light art at ImagiNite

When night falls, ImagiNite transforms Sentosa Sensoryscape into a glowing wonderland. Digital light art dances across the pathways and structures, and interactive projections actually respond to movement!
In each garden, augmented reality elements add a layer of surrealism such as floating visuals, shifting colours, and fun hidden animation through the ImagiNite app.
Pro tip: Before your visit, download the ImagiNite app on the App Store or Google Play to see augmented reality features.
