Things to See and Do

Visit the Hilltop Plaza at Biopolis

Location: Biopolis, near North Buona Vista Road

Perched above One-North Park: Biopolis, Hilltop Plaza is where you trade city noise for panoramic views and a cool breeze under shady Ficus trees. Whether you’re unwinding with a book or just soaking in the skyline, it’s the perfect little escape.

Bring a picnic, sip your coffee, and let time slow down in this peaceful spot.

Pro tip: Need a restroom? Head to Chromos at Biopolis, just a short walk away, for clean and accessible toilets.

Stroll along the Forest Canopy Boardwalk

Location: Fusionopolis South, near the Nexus and Solaris buildings

Walking along the Forest Canopy Boardwalk feels like sneaking into a secret treehouse—except it’s 150 metres long and comes with built-in skyline views!

I’ve spotted everything from darting squirrels to the occasional kingfisher, all while barely breaking a sweat. The observation platforms make the perfect pause points, whether you’re birdwatching or just soaking in the quiet.

Pro tip: Since it’s wheelchair-friendly, anyone can enjoy this little slice of nature high above the city’s buzz.

Bring your kids to the Biopolis playground

Location: Beside the Chromos building at 10 Biopolis Road

Tucked beside Chromos at Biopolis, this hidden gem of a playground is a kid’s dream. Think monkey bars, slides, and even a sound corner to keep little hands (and ears) busy.

It’s the kind of spot where kids burn off energy and parents (and young aunties like yours truly) get a breather under shady trees.

Pro tip: Need a post-playtime treat? Pepperoni at Chromos is just a hop away, serving up pizza big enough to satisfy even the hungriest little adventurers.

Have a picnic at The Oval at Mediapolis

Location: Near One-North MRT Station

If you need a giant patch of green for a lazy picnic or a wild game of frisbee, The Oval at Mediapolis has you covered. It’s the kind of open space where kids run free and adults pretend they’re good at hide-and-seek.

Dogs are welcome at The Oval but must be leashed. It’s a great spot for a walk or playtime. Just clean up after your pup!

Pro tip: Forgot to pack snacks? Café Melba is right next door, so you can grab a coffee while the little ones burn off energy.

Spot some gorgeous wildlife

Location: Butterfly Garden (Fusionopolis North) along Central Exchange Green

If you think One-North Park is just trees and boardwalks, wait till you spot a long-tailed parakeet zipping past or a pink-necked green pigeon perched above. Whether you’re a birdwatcher or just here for a scenic stroll, there’s always something wild to see!

Look closer, and you’ll see common lantana and Chinese fringe flowers drawing butterflies while towering Ficus trees provide shady hideouts for all kinds of critters.

Pro tip: The early birds (aka you) get the best sightings, so come in the morning when the park is buzzing with life.

Go jogging or cycling on dedicated paths

Location: Various paths connecting Biopolis, Fusionopolis, and Mediapolis

One-North Park’s jogging and cycling paths keep things interesting with a mix of gentle slopes and breezy flats—perfect for breaking a sweat without getting bored.

I’ve powered through Fusionopolis, coasted past Biopolis, and still found new routes to explore. When my legs give up, the outdoor fitness corners are my go-to for a quick strength session (or an excuse to catch my breath under the trees).

Pro tip: Nearby facilities such as Fusionopolis, Biopolis, and Mediapolis have public restrooms where you can refill your water bottle.

Relax by the waterfall

Location: Within Fusionopolis South

Tucked away in One-North Park: Fusionopolis South, the waterfall is the park’s best-kept secret—a little slice of nature’s white noise in the middle of the city. Grab a seat nearby, let the cool mist hit your face, and pretend you’re miles away from deadlines.

It’s the perfect spot to unwind, people-watch, or just lose track of time.

Pro tip: It’s a decorative feature, not a natural pool, so no swimming or wading here, please.

Spot some sculptures

Locations: Rochester West, Biopolis, Fusionopolis South

One-North Park isn’t just about nature. Hidden among the greenery are sculptures that blend art with the landscape. Whether I’m here for a jog or a coffee break, spotting these artistic gems makes the park feel like an open-air gallery!

Over at Rochester West, interactive light sculptures come alive at dusk, turning an evening walk into a glowing spectacle. If you stroll through Biopolis Hilltop Plaza, you’ll find sleek, modern installations that feel right at home in this futuristic district.

Pro tip: Don’t miss “12 Gentlemen” by Ju Ming, a striking sculpture that adds a cultural touch to the park’s landscape.
