Syariah Lawyer SG, operated by Emerald Law LLC, is one of the most frequent recommendations I get from my friends and co-workers when I ask them what their top Syariah law firms are. And after doing in-depth research, I can see why this is the case.

This law firm specialises in family matters, which means they deal mostly with divorce, child custody, personal protection orders, and matrimonial asset division. They can also handle complex issues like MUIS appeals, Certificate of Continuation cases, and Stay of Execution applications. 

One thing my friends and co-workers like about Syariah Lawyer SG is that the lawyers take a personal approach. In other words, they tailor their legal strategies based on the client’s unique situation and needs. And if your case needs to be dealt with in court, the lawyers won’t resort to standard templates and instead will argue with passion. 

Another great thing about this law firm is that they offer different payment schemes, and some of them are even affordable. My friends and co-workers appreciate this because it makes legal representation much more accessible to everyone.

The only complaint they have about Syariah Lawyer SG is that the firm is often busy, so it’s hard to book an appointment with them. That said, the firm is willing to have a meeting with clients even outside the regular office hours, including weekends, which is highly appreciated.

Divorce and division of matrimonial assets are their most popular services, but they also offer personal protection orders and deal with maintenance for the spouse and children, child custody, and estate planning.

The great thing about this firm is that they offer flat-free prices with no hidden costs. This is great because at least, you know just how much you’ll need to pay for the whole procedure. Plus, they offer flexible instalment plans if you can’t afford to pay the full fee upfront. 

This firm also uses a personalized approach; the lawyers will take into consideration the client’s unique individual circumstances before making a legal strategy. They also make sure to provide step-by-step guidance, which is helpful especially when you’re dealing with a complex, emotionally draining legal case. 

Just like Syariah Lawyer SG, Muslim Law Singapore is often busy, which makes it hard to schedule an appointment. They’re open every day, which helps a bit, but you’ll still probably have to wait a long time before it’s your turn.

Abdul Rahman Law Corporation is a boutique law firm offering a wide range of services. Criminal law, financial law, and immigration law are their main expertise, but they also have lawyers who specialize in Syariah law. 

One thing that clients love about this firm is that they offer a free first consultation. This is perfect if you’re not sure about going through a legal procedure but still want to have insight from a lawyer and an idea of how much things might cost. 

The variety of Syariah-related services is impressive as well. They can handle divorces, conveyancing, and even Muslim wills. 

That said, this law firm only has a handful of lawyers who specialise in Syariah law. 

Also, some of their former clients claimed that their lawyers aren’t as experienced as the ones in Syariah Lawyer SG or Muslim Law Singapore, which are firms that specialize in Syariah law. So, there’s a possibility that you might struggle with them, especially if your situation is complex.

AA Khan Law Practice is best known for offering legal services to business entities, but they also have a team of lawyers specialising in Syariah law. Their range of Syariah services is extensive, so whether you’re looking for a divorce or planning inheritance wills, this firm will serve you well. 

I’ve asked a few of their former clients, and one thing they really like about this firm is how quick the lawyers are to respond when they correspond via email. Plus, when they meet in person, the lawyers are always friendly, and the clients feel at ease. 

Another great thing about this firm is that their fees are affordable. They also offer free first consultations for people who are still on the fence about booking legal services. Because of all this, this firm is pretty accessible for everyone, regardless of their budget.

The slight disadvantage of this firm is that its team of Syariah lawyers is small. It’s not too much of a problem since everyone is competent and reliable, but if all of them are booked, you’ll have no choice but to wait or to go to a different firm.

IRB Law is another law firm best known for their focus on businesses (specifically, small family-run companies). But throughout the years, they’ve started to branch out to include Syariah law in their services, and I’ve heard good things about it, especially since their prices are competitive. 

They only offer three services under Syariah law, and these are divorce, Muslim wills, and Muslim inheritance. It’s disappointing to know their range of Syariah services is limited, but I don’t think it’s a serious disadvantage. 

The team of Syariah lawyers here is pretty sizeable, which is impressive considering that most firms have a small team. Their lawyers can even speak multiple languages, especially Malay, Tamil, Chinese, and English, so even foreigners are inclined to book their legal services. 

Despite the number of lawyers here, it can be difficult to book an appointment due to the sheer number of clients. They are open every day, though, so maybe you can snag an opportunity to meet with a lawyer over the weekend.
