Game On! The 10 Best Sports Bars in Singapore for Live Matches
For me, nothing beats the buzz of a packed sports bar—pints clicking, fans yelling at the screen like the players can hear them, and the sweet thrill of a last-minute goal (or lap, or blow).
Here, the best sports bars are not just about live matches on the big screen. We’re also about the atmosphere, camaraderie, and the tastiest bar chow and beer!
So join me on a bar crawl from Irish beer pubs to sleek rooftop bars in search of the top sports bars in SG.

It’s got a laid-back vibe for both casual game nights and whisky-fuelled celebrations at its affiliated whisky bar, Charlie’s Paradiso. Either way, it’s a great place to unwind with some choice booze and good company (or by your lonesome, which isn’t bad).
Pro-tip: On holidays and special occasions, this bar gets packed. Reserve a table early.

The regulars at this bar make it feel like my second home with the staff always keeping me updated on all the big games. Football, international rugby, the Grand Prix—you name it, they will show it along with a cool pint or two.
Pro-tip: Don’t give the fish and chips here a pass! They go well with your choice of beer.

I love going to Hero’s for its cowboy-themed decor (a trifle kitschy but cute!) and fun, laid-back atmosphere. It brings that wild wild west vibe to our game nights, along with big screens and draft beer taps right at our table.
The paneer wraps and fries hit the spot, and some choice plant-based items like the veggie burger are surprisingly good.
Plus, on non-game days, we can catch a live acoustic performance from some talented acts, too!
Pro-tip: Most of the live bands or performers can take requests from the audience, so get your song list ready!

Stepping into Muddy Murphy’s might make you momentarily forget you’re in Singapore. It looks, smells, and feels like a true Irish pub, with the smell of Guinness or bangers and mash wafting in the air.
It features massive screens showing the game of the day or season, whether it’s football, rugby, or just about anything worth cheering on. The camaraderie and good vibes here are highly infectious!

Surprisingly, Dallas Restaurant & Bar isn’t just about the drinks. It’s one of those rare spots where the food is actually great value for money (try the slow-roasted pork ribs!).
I went with a friend for a bit of Premier League viewing and ended up raving about the juicy steaks and solid cocktail lineup. With big screens, ice-cold beer, and a breezy waterfront view, it’s ideal for both game day and a casual date.
Pro-tip: If you’re not a smoker, opt for ground-level seating, as the 2nd level is reserved for smokers.

Whenever my Aussie friend starts missing home and needs his sports fix, we make a beeline for Boomarang at Robertson Quay. It’s our go-to for live matches, solid pub grub, and an early start for those dawn games.
Four screens show everything from the Cricket World Cup to Wimbledon, so we don’t have to bicker about watching whose favourite game. Plus, its buffalo wings paired with Tiger beer are winners in their own right.
Pro-tip: The kitchen is open until 2.30 AM for breakfast, lunch, or a late-night bite.

To be perfectly frank, my pals and I started going to Al Capone’s primarily because it has one of the cheapest booze deals in town. I scored a bottle of whisky here for half the price of what most places charge!
But with its big screens playing live matches and chill vibes, it’s also become a favourite spot for sports viewing. We’ve seen a couple of football games here while enjoying yummy bar bites like satay and crispy chicken wings.
Pro-tip: Order hard liquor and enjoy free-flow soda water mixers at no charge!

The Public House is one of those cool, no-pressure bars where you can just kick back, grab a drink, watch a game, and simply have a good time. Beers go around for just S$10 and pool games cost S$2 per game.
If you’re a teetotaler, there are mocktails and great bar bites like truffle fries to stuff your face with. Some may consider it too divey, but I’ve always found it a friendly, casual place to just unwind and watch live sports.
Pro-tip: Drinks are already affordable here, but the earlier you are, the more affordable they get.

For a bit of indulgent sports viewing, consider Best Brew. With big screens showing live sports and a solid lineup of craft beers, it’s got what you need for a chill game night.
A leisurely riverside stroll is the best way to get to Best Brew, as it’s tucked along the shady pathways of Robertson Quay. And once you’re there, try the grilled beef and spam sliders served up in a deceptively minimalist, brooding way.
Pro-tip: Walk-ins are welcome, but it’s best to make a reservation, especially for special events.
