Shop ‘til you drop at the 12 best malls in Singapore!

During my parents’ time, shopping in Singapore meant haggling at sweltering street markets or navigating Bugis Street’s tight aisles. Today, it’s all about sprawling airconditioned spaces with luxury and budget finds.

From iconic Orchard Road destinations to lifestyle hubs with rooftop parks and indoor waterfalls, the best malls in Singapore have turned retail therapy into an art form. Get your tote bags ready because we’re going to visit some of them today!

ION Orchard

Hours: Daily, 10 AM–10 PM
Price: $$$

Whenever I step into ION Orchard, I feel as if I’m entering Singapore’s fashion capital. Every corner is lined with luxury giants like Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Dior.

I mostly go here to window shop, though the occasional splurge at this retail powerhouse can make any purchase seem like a lifestyle investment. Beyond shopping, the mall offers gourmet dining, from Michelin-starred restaurants to stylish cafes.

Pro-tip: Even if you’re not a big spender, the rotating digital art installations and exhibitions make this mall a must-visit.

VivoCity

Hours: Daily, 10 AM–10 PM
Price: $$

VivoCity is where I go when I need everything in one place: fashion, food, and a breezy rooftop view. With brands ranging from Uniqlo to Coach, plus a massive cinema, it’s a solid mix of shopping and entertainment.

It never feels like an ordinary mall, whether I’m here for a quick bite or a full-day shopaholic spree. Families love it for the open-play areas while Sentosa-goers pass through the Sentosa Express.

Pro-tip: Sign up for the VivoRewards program to earn points and unlock promos.

Paragon

Website
Address: 290 Orchard Road

Hours: Daily, 10 AM–10 PM
Price: $$$

On special occasions (when I have extra moolah), I go to Paragon for a polished, no-nonsense luxury shopping experience. Designer heavyweights like Gucci, Miu Miu, and Prada can be found here, making the mall a go-to for high-end fashion.

Aside from shopping, the mall’s premium restaurants and beauty boutiques have made it a hotspot for those who like their retail therapy with a side of pampering.

Pro-tip: Even the medical suites upstairs match the mall’s sleek, upscale vibe!

Orchard Central

Address: 181 Orchard Road

Hours: Daily, 11 AM–10 PM
Price: $$

Orchard Central is more vertical than sprawling, with surprises at every level. Here, I can find Uniqlo’s flagship store and Tokyu Hands’ endless gadgets, along with a mixed bag of big names and quirky finds.

Its rooftop garden is a hidden gem, offering a quiet escape with skyline views. Even getting around feels unique, thanks to Singapore’s longest indoor escalator and scattered art installations.

Pro-tip: For post-shopping happy hour oysters and cocktails, visit Tanuki Raw at this mall.

Ngee Ann City

Address: 391A Orchard Road

Hours: Daily, 10 AM–9.30 PM
Price: $$$

Luxury shopping, great food, and a massive bookstore—that’s what Ngee Ann City offers under one roof. Takashimaya’s Japanese-inspired retail experience makes it a standout for me, whether I’m browsing for upscale or home goods.

Upstairs is a book lover’s paradise called Kinokuniya where I can get lost for hours. And when hunger strikes, I go to the basement hall where everything from ramen to local hawker-style bites can be had!

Pro-tip: If you need a break from retail, the fountain plaza outside the mall is a great place for people-watching.

Marina Bay Sands Shoppes

Address: Floor 1 Marina Bay Sands, 10 Bayfront Avenue
Contact: +6566888868
Hours: Daily, 10 AM–10 PM
Price: $$$

The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands feels more like a luxury showcase than a regular mall. Everywhere I turn, there’s a high-end boutique like Hermès or Gucci whose shop windows beckon like sophisticated sirens.

Celebrity chef restaurants and Sands Theatre add to the upscale vibe here. From fancy dinners to a quick casino visit, this is a mall that knows how to impress.

Pro-tip: Check out the Sands Rewards Program for member-exclusive deals and perks at dining and retail outlets.

Suntec City

Hours: Daily, 10 AM–10 PM
Price: $$

For variety in fashion, electronics, home goods, and events (there’s a convention centre) in one place, I like going to Suntec City. Admittedly, its layout is a bit of a maze, but finding the Fountain of Wealth is always a fun landmark quest.

The food options here are endless, ranging from quick bites to sit-down restaurants so there’s something for every budget.

Pro-tip: Suntec City has Golden Village for moviegoers, arcades, and VR experiences for gamers, too.

Bugis Junction

Website
Address: 200 Victoria Street
Contact: +6565576557
Hours: Daily, 10 AM–10 PM
Price: $$

Bugis Junction is my go-to for trendy, budget-friendly shopping without braving the heat. It’s got almost everything from fast fashion to edgy boutiques, which makes it a favourite among younger shoppers looking for style on a shoestring.

The mall’s air-conditioned shopping street keeps that old-school charm while connecting seamlessly to Bugis Street’s bustling market. It’s a lively spot that never feels dull whether you’re after streetwear, beauty finds, or a cold cup of bubble tea.

Pro-tip: Visit Chic Fever for unique fashion accessories you can’t find elsewhere.

Plaza Singapura

Address: 68 Orchard Road
Contact: +6563329248
Hours: Daily, 10 AM–10 PM
Price: $$

With my capsule wardrobe and beauty essentials depending on Uniqlo, Muji, and Sephora, you can find me dropping by Plaza Singapura at least once a month. And when I need a break, there’s a cinema and arcade I can visit upstairs.

Being above the Dhoby Ghaut MRT makes it an easy stop for a quick errand or an unplanned shopping spree. As for food options, there are plenty here from Japanese to Korean and every fast food item in between.

Pro-tip: Plaza Singapura holds mid-year (June to July) sales with mall-wide discounts and promos.

Jewel Changi Airport

Website
Address: Floors B5 to 5D, Singapore Changi Airport
Contact: +6569569898
Hours: Daily, 10 AM–10 PM
Price: $$$

Feeling more like a futuristic oasis than a shopping mall, going to Jewel Changi is quite the experience for shoppers and non-shoppers alike. Even passengers on a layover don’t mind the wait too much, as it involves lush indoor gardens and the Rain Vortex.

Beyond the scenery, the mix of duty-free stores, local brands, and dining options make it a solid shopping and food destination. It’s easily one of Singapore’s most unique malls.

Pro-tip: Duty-free shoppers can enjoy merchandise from local designers, including souvenirs and fine jewellery that aren’t available anywhere else.

Far East Plaza

Website
Address: 14 Scotts Road
Contact: +6567342325
Hours: Daily, 10 AM–10 PM
Price: $

For no-frills shopping and bargain hunting, Far East Plaza is a must-visit. It’s packed with indie boutiques, affordable streetwear, and hidden gem tailors, so I always find one-of-a-kind wardrobe pieces without breaking the bank.

Aside from clothing, this mall also offers budget-friendly beauty services like haircuts, nails, and piercings. If Orchard Road’s glitzy malls feel too polished, this place offers a grittier, old-school shopping experience.

Pro-tip: Frequent travellers can find a treasure trove of affordable luggage, backpacks, and travel accessories in many of the shops here.

IMM Outlet Mall

Website
Address: 2 Jurong East Street 21

Want to get branded goods without that Orchard Road price tag? Visit IMM Outlet Mall for brands like Nike, Adidas, and Coach offering up to 80% discounts and score major deals.

The mall also has homeware stores like IKEA and Japan Home for budget-friendly finds. After shopping, the food options here range from quick bites to casual dining, so there’s always somewhere to refuel before round two.

Pro-tip: Check out the Cotton On and Giordano outlets for casual clothes and wardrobe basics.
