The Best Japanese Cakes in Singapore Worth the Hype!
I still remember the first time I tried a Japanese cake. It was so fluffy, it felt like biting into a cloud! Ever since that day, I’ve been on a mission to find the best ones in Singapore.
Jiggly soufflé cheesecakes or soft matcha Swiss rolls, Japanese cakes have totally taken over my dessert cravings. Let me take you on a little cake adventure to my favourite spots!

I’ve been a regular at Gokoku Japanese Bakery for its wide variety of bread. The mentaiko baguette, Mochi Mochi Cheese, and matcha cream pan are my absolute faves—always fresh and super soft, just as promised.
Recently, I tried its matcha mochi lava cake and got hooked. The cake base is like a cross between chiffon and kueh, slightly firmer but so moist and delicious.
