Sink your teeth into the 12 best burgers in Singapore!

I remember when a good burger in Singapore meant fast food or a simple dinner party. Those days are over. Now, it’s a culinary battleground of gourmet stacks, smashed griddled beauties, and local-inspired creations!

I took it upon myself to crawl through hawker burgers, wagyu, and plant-based creations to come up with this juicy listicle. Classic or fusion? Let’s see what makes the cut!

Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beers

  • Saturday to Sunday, 11 AM–11 PM

Black Tap elevates its burgers into a full-blown feast with towering stacks and over-the-top milkshakes. Its All-American burger is a straight-up classic done right, while the Texan brings smokey BBQ vibes to any meal.

If you want a burger that’s as indulgent as the view from the restaurant, go to this Marina Bay spot. It may be pricier than most, but the experience is as premium as it gets.

Pro-tip: If you’re feeling extra, wash down your burger with a CrazyShake stacked with cookies, cake, and other bits of sweet!

When Shake Shack landed in Singapore, the notion of queueing up for a burger suddenly didn’t seem so dumb. The ShackBurger was a revelation to me, thanks to its seared all-natural Angus beef and signature ShackSauce that’s ridiculously good.

It has outlets from Jewel Changi to Neil Road, so its yumminess is always within reach. It’s a great place to catch up with friends or to simply address a rumbling tummy.

Pro-tip: Pair your burger with some crinkle-cut fries for a complete carb feast.

VeganBurg has shown me that plant-based burgers can be just as satisfying (“a whole lot better,” as my vegan bestie claims) as regular ones.

I tried its avocado beetroot burger, and it was a flavour bomb: creamy avo, earthy beetroot, and a patty so good I didn’t miss the meat!

Tucked away in Eunos, I recommend this spot for vegans and sceptics alike. Whether you want to save the planet one bite at a time or are just craving a really good burger, I say give this one a try.

Pro-tip: Try VeganBurg’s seaweed fries and crispy broccoli poppers for tasty plant-based noshing.

4Fingers Crispy Chicken

Hours: Daily, 11 AM–10 PM

4Fingers offers good fried chicken, plus a wicked version packed in a burger with a crispy, saucy, and finger-licking patty. The BFF Burger slaps with its juicy, double-fried chicken slathered in its signature soy garlic or hot sauce that I always order double.

It’s beyond fast food for me because of the careful way this burger is put together. Thankfully, there are several outlets of 4Fingers Crispy Chicken, so it’s easy enough for me to satisfy my chicken burger craving at any time.

Pro-tip: Refresh your palate with some yuzu lemonade which cuts through the richness with its tangy taste.

Honbo

Website
Address: Floor 1 CHIJMES 30 Victoria Street
Contact: +6580813785
Hours: Daily, noon–4 PM, 5–9 PM
Price: $$

Honbo takes smashed patties (my favourite kind of burger) to the next level, resulting in thin, crisp-edged burgers packed with beefy goodness. The Honbo Classic is a study in masterful simplicity, while the Triple Cheese is pure, melty decadence.

It’s the kind of spot where one burger is never enough. If you love a good smashed burger like me, head on over to this CHIJMES burger joint and see what the fuss is about.

Pro-tip: If you’re heading there on a weekend, be prepared for a crowd! The best times to visit are late afternoons or early evenings.

Wildfire Burgers

Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday, 4–10 PM
  • Friday to Saturday, noon–11 PM
  • Sunday, noon–10 PM

USDA-certified Black Angus beef that’s perfectly seared and packed with flavour as a burger patty? Yup, Wildfire Burgers doesn’t play around with quality.

The Classic 001 keeps it old-school with juicy beef and melty cheese, while the Truffled Mushroom takes things up a notch with rich, earthy goodness. If you love bold, beefy flavours with no shortcuts, give this one a spin.

Pro-tip: Expect to pay around S$25 for a full meal (with fries and a drink) at Wildfire Burgers.

Three Buns

Address: Floor 1 1939 Singapore, 36 Keong Saik Rd

Hours:

  • Monday to Saturday, noon–midnight
  • Sunday, noon–11 PM

Price: $$

I go to Three Buns specifically for its Baby Huey, a no-nonsense classic juicy burger, and occasionally, the Smokin’ B-Boy which cranks up my indulgence with smokey BBQ sauce and crisp bacon.

The restaurant itself has that laid-back vibe that invites you to combine a good craft burger with some refreshing cocktails. I find it great for casual date nights, too.

Pro-tip: Pair your Smokin’ B-Boy with an Old Fashioned, as the cocktail’s caramel notes complement the burger’s rich beefiness.

Phat Burger Bro

Hours: Daily, 10 AM–9.30 PM
Price: $$

For pure burger bliss, Phat Burger Bro makes it to my list. It’s all about big, messy, flavoured stacks best enjoyed with a giant appetite.

Its Turf and Turf burger layers juicy beef and crispy chicken in one bite, because why choose one when you can have both? It’s the kind of unapologetically good, sinful burger worth celebrating wins (small or big) with.

Pro-tip: For a light appetiser, have the grilled corn for a smokey-sweet balance to all that meaty goodness.

One Fattened Calf

Address: 1 Fusionopolis Pl, #01-31 Galaxis

Hours: Monday to Saturday, 11 AM–3 PM, 5–8 PM
Price: $$

One Fattened Calf thoughtfully curates its burger as opposed to putting together a sandwich in a slapdash, fast food joint kind of way. It uses house-baked potato buns and juicy New Zealand grass-fed beef.

For me, the OFC GoldBurger is a classic done right, while the OFC ButterBurger takes things up a notch with a rich, buttery finish. Both offer a great balance of soft, fluffy buns and beefy goodness.

Pro-tip: Skip the lunch rush and visit OFC from 2 to 5 PM for some off-peak, freshly grilled burgers.

Wicked Good

Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 5.30–11.30 PM

At Wicked Good, the smashed burger hits all the right notes. It’s juicy, well-seasoned, and has crunchy edges. Plus, the double-patty option is a game-changer for gluttons like me.

I’m not even a pickle person, but the way they’re used on the burgers here has made me a convert. Firm buns, a killer crust, and pure beefy goodness—what’s not to like?

Pro-tip: This place has also become popular for its delicious onion rings, so give them a try.

SERVUS German Burger Grill

Hours: Daily, 11 AM–11 PM

I tried SERVUS’ beef burger on a recommendation, and it was spot on—simple but carefully cooked with condiments that just worked. The sweet potato fries and Asian salad I had as sides sealed the deal for me.

The place has one of the biggest burger selections I’ve seen, including solid vegetarian options that my best bud keeps raving about. Plus, service by both humans and robots makes the experience even more fun!

Pro-tip: For a scenic view with your meal, try to get seated on a table overlooking Sentosa.

Two Blur Guys

At this point, I had to enlist someone else to round up this listicle for me so I took my brother to Two Blur Guys to try its Signature Burger. It was a winner with its juicy patty, soft bun, and just the right amount of sauce for a perfectly balanced bite.

Meanwhile, my brother went for the Extreme Cheese which was packed with four kinds of cheeses but was “surprisingly not overwhelming,” he said. We shared a pulled pork burger and agreed that it was juicy, saucy, and flavourful, too.

Pro-tip: Try the restaurant’s tiramisu to end your burger binge on a not-overly-sweet note.
