The Best Affordable Steaks in Singapore Under S$30! 

I took on this task because, as a cash-strapped student, I’ve always thought of “affordable steak in Singapore” as an oxymoron. To my (pleasant) surprise, I didn’t have a hard time stumbling upon the best steakhouses in the Lion City that fit my allowance!

I did my burp-worthy part to present to you a fine selection of great steaks that won’t hurt your wallet, with affordability, cut, flavour, and texture in mind. Dig in!

Uno Beef House

Uno Steak House is where I can get a solid steak fix without torching my monthly budget. Its juicy beef steaks already come with a crispy, golden-fried potato ball that steals the show. 

It’s fuss-free, old-school Western fare served in a no-frills setting—just good meat at good prices. If you’re craving inexpensively good steak, I reckon this is one of the best deals in town.

Pro-tip: Visit on weekday afternoons to avoid the dinner crowd, as this place gets packed fast.

For me, The Feather Blade proves that great steak doesn’t require a hefty price tag. Its signature 200 g feather blade cut is tender and flavourful and costs just S$25, which is a rare find for its quality.

The menu here is minimal, but each item is carefully crafted. It makes me happy to pay for quality, not fluff.

Pro-tip: If you have a bit of room in your budget, pair your steak with some creamed spinach for a nice texture and flavour balance.

For some grilled medium-rare goodness, I hit The Carving Board and order its signature juicy, Australian grain-fed ribeye for just S$26. It’s smokey, tender, and packed with flavour without breaking the bank.

Tucked away in Jurong East, this spot keeps it casual but delivers on quality. Those in the West looking for a simple and budget-friendly steak fix should find it here.

Pro-tip: There’s no air conditioning here, so dress lightly to enjoy your steak in comfort.

I am ecstatic to discover that Meat ‘N Chill serves up hearty 250 g New York Strip steaks for just S$22! Plus, I get two sides to round out my meal, ensuring I get a bang-for-buck feast that doesn’t cost a fortune.

With a variety of cuts and a laid-back vibe, it’s a great place for casual steak nights. For big portions without the big price, I recommend visiting this spot. 

Pro-tip: Try the Spam fries with spicy mayo as an appetiser, which is crispy, salty, and addictive.

Wildfire Burgers

Despite its name, Wildfire Burgers isn’t just about burgers. Its 150 g Argentinian grain-fed Angus striploin at S$22 is a hidden gem. Grilled over Binchotan charcoal, it’s smokey, juicy, and full of flavour.

The vibe here is casual, but the steak is top-notch in quality and taste. It’s my go-to for frills-free, charcoal-grilled steak!

Pro-tip: Tables are limited so reserve ahead to avoid disappointment.

FBG puts the spotlight on lesser-known cuts, and its Nippon grain-fed Angus flat iron at S$28 is a steal. It’s grilled over charcoal embers so you can taste the delicious smokiness minus the rubbery quality of other grilled steaks.

I like the fair pricing here for such a great steak. If you’re up for something beyond the usual ribeye, I suggest giving this place a try. 

Pro-tip: Pair your steak with some of the restaurant’s buttery, well-toasted sourdough—flavour haven! 

Steakville

Steakville keeps it simple with quality beef from different regions at prices that won’t punch a giant hole in your budget. Its S$24 hanger steak is my favourite pick, but for something richer, its S$28 Hunter’s ribeye hits the spot.

It’s all about great steak without the bells and whistles of other gimmicky joints. This place simply delivers affordable cuts with top-tier flavours.

Pro-tip: The iced lemon tea here is refreshingly sweet and helps wash down the richness of the steak.

Armoury Steak House

Premium doesn’t have to mean pricey, which I discovered at Armoury Steak House and its high-quality but affordable steaks. It’s located at Orchard Central, and I was honestly surprised to find a budget-friendly steak joint in a pricey location.

The vibes are casual, but the steaks deliver on flavour minus the hefty bill. I like that it’s juicy, well-seasoned, and served with my preferred doneness. 

Pro-tip: The in-house IPA here is a steal at just S$5 from 5 to 5.59 PM! Great with steak, too!

Braseiro Restaurant

Braseiro intimidated me at first, but I soon learned that it also offers French-style steak (thinner flank cut) frites without the fancy price tag. For under S$25, I got a juicy steak plus unlimited crispy fries, which is a dream come true for steak lovers watching their wallets!

The vibes here are cosy, the portions are generous, and the fries just keep coming!

Pro-tip: For extra indulgence, order the Camembert roti—crispy bread with gooey, melted cheese.

Now let’s venture into a little above the price range category via Barossa Steak & Grill, but I promise it’s worth investigating. It brings Australian beef goodness without the crazy price tag of other joints.

For instance, its 220 g striploin costs S$34, while its 250 g ribeye is S$38, which still hits the sweet spot for quality and value. They’re premium, well-marbled cuts that are tender with a slight chew.

Pro-tip: Check out the dry-ageing fridge as soon as you enter to see a mouthwatering meat display!

Picanhas’ offers its signature Queen of Steak at just under S$25! It’s not a fancy cut, but it’s so juicy and well-seasoned that I doubt even the snobbiest steak aficionado will mind.

It has a minimalist menu and a simple approach so you’ll know every bite is about quality, not quantity. The menu items are also explained clearly so they’re not difficult to navigate, unlike some pretentious restaurants. 

Pro-tip: All drinks are halal-friendly with unique mocktails and wines to pair with your steak.

iSTEAKS @ myVillage offers affordable cuts with generous sides, which delights people like me who are voracious meat-eaters looking for solid value-for-money feasts.

The ribeye here is nicely chewy, tasty, and with no gamey taste. I usually pair it with the creamy spinach with cheese, or the gooey mashed potatoes with its nice peppery kick.

Pro-tip: Try the roasted eggplant or fries as sides, as they’re delicious with the steaks.
